MDF Italia Chair Brown Leather. Dimensions: L 50 x Depth 58 cm x H 80 cm - Seat: H 45 cm. Minimalist, elegant, light and sophisticated, the iconic Neil chair by Jean-Marie Massaud is getting an update with a luxurious saddle-leather version. Neil took inspiration from the classic shape and historic traits of the Bauhaus period: A very simple frame made from steel wire and a seat and backrest made from taut saddle leather. Hand-crafted in Italy, the full-grain saddle-leather upholstery of a great thickness requires real expertise. This traditional hand sewing technique guarantees great sturdiness. Every detail is extremely meticulous: seams in heavy duty thread, dyed edges, and pressed areas on the leather surface form raised decorations that emphasise the tension and pattern. Like beautiful, luxury leather goods, the saddle-leather upholstery is simply stretched taut across the fine chrome-plated steel structure. It guarantees an unexpected comfort despite its formal simplicity. Marrying design and craftsmanship, the Neil chair adapts to different contexts, from the more traditional to the more contemporary.
