The Leek Autumn Mammoth - 'Snowstar' (Allium porrum) produces show bench quality leeks with long, thick white stems that stay in fine condition. A good source of vitamin C, folate and iron these leeks work well sauteed, steamed or baked in soups or pies. You can harvest these plants from October to March. They thrive best in partial sunlight and like well-cultivated and fertile soil for maximum growth.
