The 1638H from Mountfield is equipped witht a hydrostatic transmission which is simple and easy to use. To move forward, simply press the forward pedal down - the firmer you push the pedal, the faster you go. To reverse the tractor, you swap to the reverse pedal that works the same as the forward pedal. Swapping between forward and reverse is instantaneous, making this garden tractor's maneouvrability fanstastic. Powered by a 586cc twin engine for excellent performance and reliability. Featuring a 38 inch (98cm) cutting deck that uses untimed cutter blades for the best results. Untimed blades allow for rougher ground to be mown without any overlap. The anti scalp wheels alklow for the deck to 'float' across the ground, providing optimum cut and finish to the lawn. With 7 cutting heights ranging through 25-80mm and a large 240 litre capacity grass collector. The collector can be emptied easily from the comfort of the driving seat using a simple lever. A mulch plug is available to purchase as an optional extra. Mulching is ideal for lawns that get a more regular cut. This function cutes and then re-cuts clippings in to tiny particles.
