Description
Montblanc Watch Star Legacy Moonphase 126079 The moon has captivated mankind for a millennia and Montblanc’s Star Legacy Moonphase watches perfectly embody our fascinations with the refined moonphase complication beautifully orbiting the dial. At 6 o’clock, the perfectly round aperture showcases a colourful navy blue sky and yellow sun during the day and then during the night, an accurate representation of the lunar cycle is displayed through a magnificent silver moon and a rich blue starry sky. Powering the moonphase complication, the date display surrounding the moonphase aperture and the central hands for hours and minutes is the MB 29.14 automatic winding movement. The Swiss made calibre continues to impress with a flat hairspring balance spring, 25 jewels, a frequency of 28,800vph and a power reserve of 42 hours. The rest of the Montblanc Star Legacy Moonphase watch takes inspiration from the brand’s Minerva heritage and the pocket watches they made during the late 19th century and early 20th century. The onion-shaped crown at 3 o’clock is almost an exact replicate of said pocket watches as is the sleek stainless steel profile of the 42 millimetre case. Refined angled lugs allow the sophisticated blue alligator leather strap to secure comfortably to the wrist, but when off the skin, the Montblanc moonphase watch gives way to a wonderful exhibition case back revealing the automatic winding movement within. Centre stage of the Montblanc Star Legacy watch is a vintage-inspired silver white dial adorned with an exploding Montblanc star guilloche pattern, a black railway minute track, matching black Roman numerals and leaf-shaped hands coloured in blue. The men’s luxury watch also assures a 30 metre water resistance.
