Description
Montblanc Watch Star Legacy Full Calendar 119955. Despite following the traditional design codes of the pocket watches from Minerva’s 160 year history, the Montblanc Star Legacy Full Calendar watch is anything but antique. It’s incredible Swiss made automatic winding movement delivers an abundance of complications in the most elegant of ways. At the centre, three blue-coloured hands for the hours, minutes and seconds are joined by a fourth pointer, one in contrasting silver with a red crescent pointer to mark the date. Then, placed within the date ring at the 12 o’clock position is a double day and month window and at 6 o’clock, a colourful aperture is reserved for the moonphase display. Together, these elements allow for unstoppable timekeeping capability. The rest of the Montblanc Star Legacy Full Calendar watch retains all the classic DNA of the Star Legacy collection with large Roman numerals, leaf-shaped hands and the iconic Montblanc exploded star guilloche pattern at the centre, this time coloured in a crisp silver hue. The dial is placed at the centre of a 42 millimetre polished stainless steel case protected by domed sapphire crystal glass treated with a layer of anti-reflective coating for natural legibility. The case is also home to a smooth unadorned bezel and onion-shaped crown, two features instinctively embodying the aesthetics of Minerva’s original pocket watches. The crown is non-screw locked so offers a simple water resistant rating of 30 metres also assisted by the closed stainless steel case back. Securing the Montblanc Star Legacy Full Calendar watch to the wrist is a blue Sfumato alligator leather strap handcrafted in the Montblanc Pelletteria in Florence, Italy. Lastly, the MB 29.12 automatic winding movement guarantees a power reserve of 42 hours.
