Inspired by the Swiss watch manufacturer’s Minerva heritage and their pocket watches produced during the late 19th century, the Montblanc Star Legacy watch collection is home to some of the brand’s highest-end watches outfitted with full manufacture movements. This Montblanc Star Legacy Automatic Date watch is no exception, delivering classical Swiss watchmaking techniques alongside a stylish aesthetic perfectly fitting of a luxury dress watch. At its centre, the Montblanc Star Legacy Automatic Date watch houses the Calibre MB 24.17 automatic winding movement which alongside its innovative flat hairspring provides 26 jewels and a power reserve of 38 hours. The central hands for hours, minutes and seconds and date aperture at 3 o’clock are beautifully presented on a refined anthracite-coloured dial with exploding guilloche detailing, a black railroad minutes track, silver Roman numerals and rhodium plated leaf-shaped hands. To protect the Swiss manufacture within and provide a water resistant rating of 50 metres, the 43mm stainless steel case is equipped with a non-screw crown decorated with the famous Montblanc star emblem, a polished bezel and domed sapphire crystal glass, a material famed for its scratch resistance and anti-reflective coating. To complete the Montblanc Star Legacy Automatic Date watch, a grey alligator leather strap is added crafted by the Montblanc Pelletteria in Florence, Italy.
