Description
Montblanc Watch 1858 Automatic 24H 126007. This Montblanc 1858 Automatic 24 Hour watch is not a timepiece you see every day. Its unique single-handed dial is dedicated to the modern-day explorer, indicating the time using a lone luminescent red-coloured hand. The hand points to the large Arabic numerals around the edge of the dial, counting the hours and the quarter hours through the printed indexes in between while the separation of the 12 hour marker at the top and 24 marker at the bottom gives you an arc of the day and night. Meanwhile, the bronze-coloured and red detailed compass scale at the circumference acts as a compass.  To complete the dial of the Montblanc 1858 Automatic 24H watch, a black luminescent printed map of the northern hemisphere appears at night adorned with the 24 meridian lines. The rest of the Montblanc 1858 Automatic 24 Hour watch follows suit to previous 1858 editions with a 1920’s aesthetic inspired by the legendary professional Minerva watches from the same era. The 42 millimetre by 11.2 millimetre case is engineered from stainless steel while the fixed bezel delivers a colour-changing patina crafted from bronze. The case also comes prepared with scratch resistant sapphire crystal glass with anti-reflective treatment, a screw down crown at 3 o’clock and a water resistant rating of 100 metres. Hidden within the Montblanc 1858 is the automatic winding Calibre MB 24.20, a Swiss made movement with 24 jewels, a power reserve of 42 hours and a frequency of 28,800bph. To complete the Montblanc single-handed watch, a black textile strap is added alongside a classic stainless steel pin buckle.
