For one, the band is basically the creator of the Horror Punk genre and secondly, they achieved cult status despite numerous line-up changes. The band was founded by Glenn Danzig and Jerry Only in 1977 and could make themselves heard with EPs like Beware", "3 Hits From Hell" or "Evilive". They had their breakthrough with "Walk Among Us" and "Earth A.D./Wolfs Blood" in 1982 and 1983, when Glenn finally left the band. The black "Skull" T-shirt features the band mascot Crimson Ghost."
