The Michelin Road Classic Motorcycle Tyre contains modern technologies to make the most of your Classic Motorcycle. They are a range of retro-look tyres designed specifically for classic and modern classic motorcycles running on 17, 18 and 19-inch wheels.50% more wet grip than the previous generationCompound mix incorporating Silica Rain Technology (SRT)50% more cornering stability40% more straight-line stabilityBias-belted technology and bias casingThe Michelin Road Classic Motorcycle Tyre has been added to the range replacing the successful Pilot Activ, combining an attractive retro tread design with the latest materials and technologies.The Road Classic has a directional tread pattern with a groove to tread-rubber ratio of 26% for the right balance between performance and looks. There is a slick centre and shoulder to achieve optimum contact with the road, performing excellently on the road in dry conditions. For wet weather riding, the 100% Silica Rubber compound and chamfered groove edges offer high levels of grip in difficult conditions with no compromise in terms of longevity. This Tyre has also been made with a compound mix incorporating Silica Rain Technology (SRT). SRT improves grip in cooler temperatures and on wet roads, without compromising tread life - offering total performance of wet and cold grip.The casing of this Tyre manages all requirements by using two BI-NST plies directly beneath the tread rubber to reduce centrifugal growth at speed, which will also help maintain a constant and optimum shaped contact patch with the road. Under these two top plies, two Bi-NC casing plies are rigid enough to support the load and provide stability in all situations, yet are supple enough to allow the rider and pillion to enjoy a comfortable ride. Finishing off the casing of the tyre is an airtight butyl rubber liner, meaning the tyres can be used tubeless when fitted to suitable tubeless wheels or with inner-tubes if required on a tube-type rim.The result is that compared to its predecessor the Road Classic offers better performance in all areas, with particularly large improvements in straight-line and cornering stability, and grip in both wet and dry conditions.Please note: Tyre size shows if that specific tyre is a Tubeless Tyre (TL) or Tubed Tyre (TT).Please note - These are single Tyre listings.
