The two main performance aims of these Tyres are wet performance and mileage. By combining the new generation of Compounds which were chosen due to their top performance during the patented mixing process, they were able to develop a material which obtained unmatched levels of homogeneity dispersed in the polymeric matrix, contributing to tyre durability and wear regularity.For high performance in wet conditions (cornering grip and panic braking), Metzeler designed a blend of high dispersion silica, high-performance synthetic polymers mixed with proper resins and plastifying agents. The Rear tyre uses the dual-Compound construction along with a central stripe which is approximately 40mm wide, to fully include the footprint area during straight up riding, and features a 50% content of silica and carbon black specifically developed to optimise mileage and power traction. The side compound is a 100% silica to ensure maximum chemical grip on wet surfaces and grip for cornering and traction in all the other conditions. The Front Tyre has been made using a high Silica content (>50%) which has then been blended with different typologies of polymers and resins whose recipe provides remarkable handling and both braking and cornering grip. The tread pattern layout ensures that full Silica Compound is available as soon as the trajectory tips from straight into lean, providing great confidence of riding and safety feeling.The Front tyres feature a high stiffness structure which has been made of Rayon fibres to ensure stability when riding at high speed and when fully loaded with luggage and a passenger. The Rear Tyre features Interact technology with three zones of variable tension layout which provides predictable riding behaviour and enables a remarkable sporty capability. The specific structure is able to provide maximum lateral support and trajectory precision during cornering, resulting in enhanced stability.The profiles of the Tyre has been developed along with the structure to maximise street and touring oriented behaviour. The Tyres are rounded in the half-lean portion, and flatter toward the centre.
