This is probably the most important element to maximise the life span of the silk as the enzymes in standard washing detergents attack the silk proteins and quickly damage the fabric, reducing the life, sheen, suppleness and softness in short order. • When it comes to drying, we recommend air drying in the shade. Do not wring or tumble dry. For faster drying you can place flat on a clean and dry old cotton towel with the opening away from you. Slowly roll up the cotton towel with the cushion cover inside and give a gentle squeeze. Do not wring. Unroll, reshape so it's nice and flat and hang to air dry in the shade. The silk quickly transfers the excess water into the cotton and will air dry quite quickly.
