Description
The popular Minion DHR II is recommended to be installed as a rear tyre in muddy conditions. It provides excellent braking and cornering traction for the ultimate mountain biking or downhill riding experience. Featuring 3C MaxxTerra technology which provides an intermediate compound configuration that is used in select mountain tires. It is softer and offers more traction than the MaxxSpeed but more treadwear and less rolling resistance than the MaxxGrip. The tyre is constructed using Maxxis' EXO+ construction which combines two of the best puncture protection materials SilkShield and EXO. A SilkShield layers run from bead to bead with a layer of EXO along the sidewalls. These combined create the EXO+ which improves tread puncture protection by 27%, sidewall durability by 51% and pinch puncture resistance by 28%. This tyre is all tubeless ready. Tubeless downhill set-ups offer a great way to shave some weight and spend some more time in the bike park or completing hot laps. The rubber is the sealent-compatible rubber that is used with the familiar Maxxis dual-ply 60 TPI downhill construction and butyl insert for support and rim protection to offer the benefits of increased grip and reliability. A Tubeless Ready bead securely locks to the rim and the foldable bead provides additional weight savings.
