The Ksyrium Pro centre lock disc UST tubeless wheelset from Mavic. The Ksyrium Pro centre lock has been upgraded to be UST Tubeless compatible. The UST Technology gives the tyre better traction when cornering and eliminates the risk of pinch punctures. This also improves comfort for the rider. The Ksyrium Pro centre lock disc UST are made from maxtal an aluminium alloy exclusive to Mavic that is 30 percent more a stronger plus being lighter than conventional 6106 alloys. Mavic's patented inter-spoke milling lightens the wheel by 15 percent without sacrificing strength. This also delivers more responsive handling, less drag plus better acceleration and climbing capabilities. The Ksyrium Pro centre lock also features spokes that are integrated into the rim leaving the upper rim bridge intact increasing strength and power output. The spokes are Zircal aluminium alloy that provides a high stiffness to weight ratio with aluminium hubs. The wheels use auto adjusting sealed bearings that are highly durable and efficient due to low play. The Ksyrium Pro centre lock UST disc rear hub features Mavic's instant drive 360 giving fast acceleration made possible by the 40 teeth dual ratchet system also helping climbing. The rear hubs are compatible with Shimano or Campagnolo 11 speed cassettes and can be converted to XD-R with an optional hub body available separately. The front hub is convertible to either quick release or 15 mm thru axle with optional adapters sold separately. The wheelset is laced with steel straight pull bladed spokes with 24 on the front and rear to dissipate braking force equally through the wheel. The spokes are laced 2 crossed on the front wheel and Iso pulse on the rear wheel to increase power output. The wheels are paired with Yksion Pro UST tyres with 11 storm single compound that gives a balance between rolling efficiency and grip. The Yskion UST also features a polyamide breaker from further puncture protection.
