This special glass thickness of 10 mm gives the glass shelves a toughened premium look, regardless of whether they are used as single shelves or for entire shelf walls. Thanks to the rectangular shelf corners they can be butted together to make a longer shelf. The glass shelves have highly polished and bevelled edges. Five different sizes are available below, allowing you to select the perfect glass bottom for your requested shelf. It is heated to about 630 degrees Centigrade and then rapidly cooled with cold air, whereby internal stresses are generated. The result will be in the core of the glass base and in the surface a compressive stress. This ESG has a higher impact and wear than normal glass. It can not be edited but after the thermal treatment. If it should break but at too high a load, it breaks into small pieces without sharp edges. Thereby the risk of injury is reduced compared to normal float glass. For many decades, ESG is used in the automotive industry for side windows and effectively prevents cuts and impact injuries. The same service makes it even at home.Brackets are not included.
