Description
Makita's CXT range comprises of compact professional power tools which use slide on 12v lithium ion batteries. These are available in higher capacities than the older stick type batteries, and have multi-contact terminals to ensure a solid connection when exposed to vibration and impacts. Additionally, they have overload protection circuitry and can be used in extreme cold, down to -20°C. The TM30D is the first Multi tool to be released on the CXT platform. It has variable speed control and a soft start circuit which brings the motor up to full power without jolting or jarring on startup, while the ergonomic housing provides a comfortable grip surface for controlled operation. For user safety the TM30D also has restart protection, which prevents a live tool from automatically switching back on in instances where power is temporarily lost (for example if the battery is swapped out).
