Makita's DGA504Z is a cordless angle grinder which runs on 18v lithium ion batteries (not included). For maximum efficiency it is equipped with an enhanced brushless high power motor and utilizes a built-in controller to regulate the rotation speed according to load condition; this enables greater application of torque during cutting tasks and higher speeds for less demanding applications such as light grinding and surface preparation.The DGA504Z also has a buil-in tool and battery protection system which shuts down the motor if excessive heat or current draw is detected. An illuminated panel on the base of the handle displays battery charge, speed control and overload protection status.
