Available in Gold and SilverThe Ammonite Earrings and Necklace is named after the Ammonite, ocean-dwelling molluscs that lived between 66 and 450 million years ago. They died out at the same time as the dinosaurs, but their fossilised shells can still be found.Ammonites were born with tiny shells and, throughout life, they would be adding new chambers on to their shell to accommodate for their growing bodies. This means no new mining had to take place to make your gold vermeil jewellery.14ct Gold Filled: this is a premium, more durable form of gold plating whereby the gold coating represents 5% of the total weight. Unfortunately, it is not possible yet to recycle gold filled metal.9ct, 14ct or 18ct Gold: for our solid gold pieces we use recycled gold only. This means no new mining had to take place to make your gold jewellery.
