Maison Sarah Lavoine Rug Black Textile. Dimensions: 170 x 240 cm. The Lueur rug brings that little extra light to your interior. Through this contrast of colours highlighted by an ochre line, the motif takes the shape of a half-moon illuminating a starry sky leading to an unexpected oasis. Tufting is an ancestral method mainly developed in India and China. This artisanal manufacturing process is carried out by hand. The craftsman places the lengths of textile directly into a cotton frame on a stretched canvas, which is itself on a vertical loom. Tufting is then carried out using a thread gun following the colours, design and different heights of the fabric lengths. This technique provides greater thickness and comfort than traditional knotting.
