Dual Port BT Wall Master Socket – 5/1A IDC punch down terminals & instructions for easy installation. Extension socket size is 86mm x 86mm (fits a standard back box) and is supplied with fixing screws. PLEASE NOTE – This listing is for one plate only, multiple views may be shown in the picture above. Used for - This BT master socket should be connected to the main incoming telephone lines into a property, it cannot be used as an extension socket. This wall plate has 2x outlets on the front allowing 2 phones to be connected to the same line. It also allows you to plug 2x extensions sockets into the one plate. How to fit - The BT drop cable coming from outside the property usually has orange, white, green and black wires. Usually (but not always) the orange and white internal wires are the active pair and go to connections 2 and 5 on the master socket, in some master sockets these connections are marked A & B.
