double diamonds shag rug fringe on both ends medium pile dimensions: 58 ft // 150245 cm material: 100% wool weft, 100% cotton warp origin: hand-knotted in morocco from the LOOM + FIELD collection, the double diamonds shag rug was designed in paris, & created in limited batches by women weavers in the atlas mountains of morocco. each rug takes around seven weeks to complete, in a process done entirely by hand. our wool is sourced from moroccan sheep, & brought to the studio to be carded, spun, & then dyed. here there are no recipes; everything is done by feeling. this means, every batch of wool is unique, & no two rugs are alike. GIVING BACK in partnership with the association tafarnout, proceeds from LOOM & FIELD support literacy education for women weavers & rural development projects in the demnate region of morocco. our products are handcrafted by artisans using traditional techniques. while each piece is created by an expert in their craft, handmade & vintage items are perfectly imperfect. there may be minor imperfections such as fading colors, loose threads, or wear. we believe these characteristics are all part of the story behind the product & the artisan that crafted it, making it truly unique. we hope you do too!
