Description
Lonicera nitida 'Elegant' is a little more compact than the species, but can still be grown as a tall hedge or be used for creating topiary or low formal hedges. It is often used as an alternative to more traditional Yew or Box. The Shrubby Honeysuckle tolerates regular cutting and its small dark green leaves create a dense evergreen screen. Creamy white flowers in spring are followed by purple berries attractive to birds. Lonicera nitida 'Elegant' is easy to grow and maintain and is fast growing. Height and spread: 1.8m (6') if left unpruned.
