If you want to shorten the width of the blind, it's simple! Many windows have a non-standardised width, which often forces customers to buy expensive custom-made products. So how can one shorten the blinds? To do this you will need: 1 ruler or measuring tape, 1 pen, 1 carpet knife and 1 small, metal saw. Procedure: please note that the pleating on each side of the blinds can only be shortened by a maximum of 7cm! Step 1: measure the width to which you want to shorten the blind. Step 2: bring the pleated blinds together in a disassembled state. Step 3: remove the upper and lower cover cap on the left or right side from the aluminium rail (simply pull it out). Then proceed to remove the fabric of the blind from the rail. Step 4: shorten the fabric to the desired width (it is recommended to completely gather the fabric together and cut it from top to bottom with the carpet knife). Step 5: push the fabric back into the aluminium rail and shorten the top and bottom rails to match the fabric with the metal saw. Step 6: reattach cover caps. And enjoy!
