This well designed Jarder parasol set is affordable and arrives complete, ready for assembly. The Jarder Libra garden parasol set is practical and stylish. This is a 3m parasol, meaning its wide sun shade and adjustable height will keep you protected and comfortable in the summer sun. This Jarder parasol set can additionally be altered so the shade is positioned to block the moving sun. The cover umbrella portion of the parasol is additionally mounted to the pole in a way which enables slight movement. This flexibility and motion is completely normal, and the Jarder parasol is designed this way to accommodate wind flow. Without having some movement, this parasol and base set could fold under the unyielding pressure. This design feature ensures the longevity of this Jarder parasol set.  This package contains everything required to set up a complete 3m parasol set. A cover, frame and base are all included within the set. The cover provides protection against light rain, frost, UV rays and dirt and grime. The base is robust and can be filled with water or sand, creating a heavy weight to hold this parasol in place. Care Tips: Disassemble in winter – To preserve your Jarder parasol set we recommend you disassemble and store this piece of outdoor furniture during the winter months. By storing your parasol when it is not in use this will help prevent the pole from developing rust. Additionally, this will ensure the fabric cover will be less likely to become weather worn or torn. If left out in the elements, the cover can additionally be affected by mould and mildew, which can be difficult to remove. Cleaning – The parasol and base set can be hosed down to clean. This is recommended before storing for the winter months or if you are looking to undertake a quick clean of bird mess or debris. However, if you would like to clean off more persistent stains and marks, we recommend putting it in the washing machine. If washing powder is used to clean the cover this will diminish the waterproof properties of the canopy. The cover will then need to be resealed by using an outdoor  waterproofer such as the Professional Strength Outdoor Furniture Waterproofer.   UV – The Libra parasol won’t completely protect against UV rays, however it is a form of protective shade. Jarder always recommends taking measures such as applying sunscreen when outside, even when using the Libra garden parasol. Wind – This 3m parasol with base attachment should not to be used in heavy winds. If strong winds are caught up in the umbrella style parasol this will create a sail effect. Even though this parasol is weighted securely down, the wind may still be strong enough to lift the parasol off the ground. There may even be areas within the garden where there is a strong channel of airflow, even though it may not be a windy day. We recommend you find the most sheltered area of your garden to set up this parasol to ensure it is safe from wind damage. If it is a particularly windy day, instead of fully disassembling the parasol there is also the option of unwinding the parasol, so the umbrella closes.
