Lalique has taken its inspiration from the fluidity, delicacy and sensuality of satin to sculpt a woman in its image and compose her eponymous perfume. Satine is an intensely modern and seductive perfume, like the woman it portrays, a blend of indulgence and addiction that irresistibly captures those who approach it. The bottle takes its inspiration from 'La Perle Noire' which was created by René Lalique in 1924 for Forvil and has sunrays fanning out from around a black pearl placed at the heart of the bottle. Satine's bottle evokes the swirling movement of a dancing woman's pleated skirt as it forms an asymmetrical sunray rosette with alternating shiny and satin rays. For the fragrance itself, Master perfumer Nathalie Lorson chose to create fragrant spheres that merge with each other, while the scents harmonise in an exquisite symphony. A first sphere highlights floral sensuality with a luminous bouquet of white flowers including the radiance of opulent Jasmine Petals, the creamy softness of Gardenia and sunny Heliotrope. The second textured and balmy sphere outlines the power of enchanting gourmand notes where Tonka Bean and Vanilla are offset by a sparkling and spicy whirl of Pink Peppercorn. Finally, the third sphere extends Satine's smooth trail where highly contrasting woody notes of earthy Vetyver and Patchouli are juxtaposed with creamy Sandalwood to round out this sensuous Oriental-Woody eau de parfum.
