This upcycled space age rocket lamp is the perfect gift for a lover of quirky vintage decor. A one of a kind lamp which certainly has the wow factor & would look great in a mancave or geek room. This fantastic statement lamp is perfect for the person who has everything. The technical bit - This UFO spaceship style rocket lamp has been created using an antique solid brass piece of maritime equipment known as a log spinner (more information below) Mounted on a wooden base together with a brass column, it has been wired with a 12v mains power supply. It is fitted with replaceable LED bulbs at each end, the nose cone having screw fitting removable Amber glass cover that houses a replaceable G4 led bulb.The rear is fitted with a replaceable flame effect bulb to create the effect of a thruster. Supplied with two of each bulb. WALKER'S CHERUB SHIPS LOG - For recording ship's speed, The spinner was attached at rear of the ship by a long line & cast into sea, & as it turned in the ship's wake, revolutions were counted by mechanical log, recording speed, distance traveled in nautical miles. This example dates from the early 1900's. Measurements. 6.5 square base x 19 high 16cm square base x 48cm high We can supply a 2 Pin European, US or Australian power supply if you wish.
