There are stretch mesh panels which have been included to provide increased flexibility and comfort.On this Armoured Shirt, there are 5 Duck Canvas pockets, 1 chest, 2 patch pockets on the front, a 1 large back pocket and 1 sleeve stash pocket for even greater functionality. There are also 2 handy low-profile secret pockets on the inside.For rider protection, Knox MICRO-LOCK armour has been included in the Shoulders (Level 1) and Elbows (Level 1) - Level 1 means that the maximum transmitted force must be below 18 kN, and no single value shall exceed 24 kN. There is also a MICRO-LOCK Back protector included which provides maximum coverage and is CE approved EN 1621- 2 Level 2, meaning the maximum transmitted force must be below 9 kN, and no single value shall exceed 12 kN. A separate MICRO-LOCK chest protector can be added if required. MICRO-LOCK Armour are the softest, most comfortable protectors Knox has ever made and totally contour to the body. This softness, linked with Micro-Lock s smart protective qualities, means Knox can engineer many shapes and thicknesses so each rider is able to find the perfect protector for every garment. Knox MICRO-LOCK uses SMART technology and properties which keep the armour super soft to touch, but it locks when impacted, keeping you protected. This locking action increases the amount of impact absorbed by the protector, reducing the energy passed through to your precious limbs. Knox MICRO-LOCK solves the temperature stability issue by using a unique mix of materials which keep the protector softer in the cold. MICRO-LOCK's impact performance is also stable across all temperatures and environments.Due to the high amount of protection included in this Shirt, is has been CE approved to standard EN17092 - Class A - meaning that the protection on offer is deemed suitable for urban riding, with Zone 1 (Shoulders, Elbows, Hips and Knees) requiring one second of abrasion resistance at 265.3rpm and half a second at 147.4rpm in Zone 2 (outer arms, torso, legs and feet).Additional features include a waterproof over-jacket which can be purchased separately, discreet Knox branding on the chest, front hem and back and thumb loops for added security.
