Kin welcomes back textile designer Laura Slater for SS18, combining her modernist prints with oversized yet feminine silhouettes and sportswear influenced shapes for another Limited Edition collection. This oversized dress from our limited Kin by John Lewis collection features a bold and bright all-over 'regulated repeat' print, designed by Laura Slater. It features contrast ribbed trim detailing around the neck and black button detailing at the shoulder. Front length: 96cm Following a summer travelling through California, this seasons print story has been inspired by Modernist desert architecture. This concept has been translated through exploring the layering of sequenced graphic shapes, textured linear detail and repeat block printed pattern, in a primary-bright palette. Composition and scale all play an integral role in the final collection of which, much has been developed through working directly with the garment shapes as a canvas for pattern placement. - Laura Slater
