Description
Rechargeable LED table lamp Space by Adam Tihany Designer Adam Tihany had the famous Seattle Space Needle, the observation tower built for the 1962 World's Fair, in mind when developing the Space LED table lamp. Very futuristic and quasi "spacey" is therefore also the look of this table lamp. Space is a rechargeable lamp with a rechargeable battery that guarantees a maximum lighting duration of eight hours. The body as well as the shade of the lamp are made of different plastics (PMMA and ABS), which are partly transparent and partly opaque. Space is switched on and off by touching the upper part of the shade. For the design company Kartell, plastic in all its shapes and colours is one of the most widely used materials for their designer pieces, some of which are so famous that they have become true classics. Well-known creations by Kartell include the K 1340 children's chair and the KS 1481 lemon squeezer, as well as the 4006 lamp model by Achille and Piergiacomo Castiglioni from 1959.
