Versatile in its use: FL/Y designer pendant lamp with LED - designed by Ferruccio Laviani The FL/Y pendant lamp from Kartell is a typical all-rounder: in the kitchen, the dining room or the living room – a light with the design and functionality of FL/Y can be used anywhere. The lampshade is neither a sphere nor a hemisphere, as the cut was made slightly below the centre. As a result of this, the light is concentrated even better and the surface beneath it is illuminated in a more targeted manner. The many variants of FL/Y are colourful and versatile, and their lampshades are made of plastic - which is a matter of course for a product produced by Kartell. Plastic is the material that defines Kartell’s designer pieces and thus also the company itself. Since the company’s foundation in 1949, the designers who work for Kartell have addressed the question of how plastic can be put to use and what the best way of designing and processing it is to create a perfect harmony of functionality and aesthetics.
