The vulcanised Jordan Series .02 "Dear Deloris" continues the story of how Mike became the greatest of all time with a tribute to his mum. Wearable in any setting, the shoe has some stretch, to accommodate wider feet. The colours tie to a famous photo of MJ and his mum on their sofa. The outsole has circular traction inspired by the Air Jordan 1. The message moulded into the rubber tells the story of Mike's back-garden battles with older brother Larry. "45/2" nods to the number they both wore until they ended up on the same team. That's how MJ became #23, by splitting 45 in half and saying if he could be half as great as Larry, he'd be all right. "SWING FOR THE FENCE" on the sockliner quotes a letter from Larry. The quote speaks to MJ's attitude in life and specifically references the brothers' back-garden battles. This is the 1st vulcanised shoe by Jordan Brand. Like classic skate shoes, it has clean, high sidewalls that are double-wrapped around the toe for durability.
