Its appearance in 1982 marked a turning point in the production of the renowned Stuttgarter automotive manufacturer. Although the "190" was the entry-level version into the Mercedes product range, it still contained important stylistic and technical innovations. The design, with an excellent blend of style and elegance, will later affect the vehicles of the higher segments of future Mercedes production.
