Ercol End table Natural wood Wood. Dimensions: Ø 60 x H 36 cm. The ‘IO’ coffee table is inspired by 1950s Scandinavian wooden furniture. You’ll particularly like its very on-trend vintage look and the warmth of solid walnut. Noble and sophisticated, this type of wooden adds character to any type of decoration. The IO coffee table stands out for its soft lines: the top with its rounded edge is supported by four solid feet with curved lines. The finishes and connections between the different parts of the table are extremely neat. Based in England, the prestigious Ercol company has been working with wooden for nearly a century, it’s a real institution on the other side of the Channel! It was in 1920 that Lucian Ercolani, son of an Italian immigrant in London, decided to found his own furniture making company. The result of remarkable wooden craftsmanship, his creations would quickly gain international renown. Today, Ercol is one of the last remaining manufacturers of English furniture still operating. Each item that leaves an Ercol factory is handmade in England, guaranteeing an irreproachable level of quality. Norwegian designer Lars Beller Fjetland has developed a permanent fascination with classic natural materials. He explains: A good design must deal with the basics:a design should be honest, and show both how and why materials and components interact. Design is the challenge of using materials only for their intrinsic qualities, which ensures that the object being designed has the ability to perform its function without having an end date.
