Ibride Shelf Beige Textile. Dimensions: L 53 x D 29 cm x H 79 cm. Born from a collaboration with French design studio Chape&Mache, Chaperon is a wall alcove inspired by the votive niche, originally designed for showcasing the statue of a saint in religious art. This shape, with deep roots in Western culture, brings out a sense of sacredness in both the object and the space housing it. Chaperon has been designed with a view to staging your own mysterious and mystical universe. Dressed with precious, everyday objects, the Chaperon wall console highlights the value of the macrocosm it adorns by drawing the eye in. Upholstered in fabric, the hollow structure evokes a protective veil, surrounding and showcasing whatever you place inside. In the lower section, the built-in drawer is concealed in the rounded shape and reflects the fine cutting techniques of the Ibride studios. With the same aim of reducing its environmental impact, designer duo Aurélie Chapelle and David Machado work hand-in-hand with Ibride to create with a 100% Made in France process, opting for short supply chains. The shell, an innovation in shaped fabric, is thermo-formed and OEKO-TEX certified. The interior surface and drawer are made in Fenix, an anti-scratch opaque material, Chaperon can be worked into several spaces: hallway, bedroom, living room, etc.
