Thompson & Morgan Hydrangea macrophylla 'Red Baron'
Description
Dramatic rosy-red blooms form large mopheads, which smother this fantastic deciduous shrub throughout summer and early autumn. As autumn approaches the flowers take on more subtle deep pink tones infused with apple green. As with all mophead Hydrangeas, the flowers change colour depending on your soil pH and will become more purple in acid soils. Hydrangea macrophylla 'Red Baron' has a compact, rounded habit which makes it superb for patio containers or a colourful highlight in borders, woodland gardens and cottage gardens. Height and spread: 1.2m (4').
