Description
One of the 'Endless Summer' series, Hydrangea macrophylla 'The Original', produces a profusion of large flowerheads on old wood and new shoots from May until September. The colour of the flowers all depends on the pH level of your garden soil. They can be purple-blue or rose pink. In autumn the foliage changes to red and gold, and the flowerheads remain on the shrub past the first morning frosts. This Hydrangea has a neat and compact growing habit, making it perfect for borders in small and medium sized gardens. They also look wonderful planted in large containers that are placed on patios and decking areas, as they add colour and structure. Hydrangeas are extremely low maintenance and have good disease resistance, especially to mildew. Height: 120cm (4'). Spread: 150cm (5').
