With an Intel Core i7 processor, your device will easily handle day-to-day tasks such as work assignments, coursework or browsing the net. Power hungry programs like image manipulation and video editing software will see processing times reduced, enabling better productivity.
The i7-11800H processor in this model features 24MB of cache and 8 cores that can adjust their speed depending on the complexity of the task they are working on, from 2.30GHz to 4.60GHz.
What is RAM?
RAM (Random Access Memory) is different to the permanent storage provided by hard disk drives (HDD), solid-state drives (SSD) or memory cards in your equipment. NVIDIA's GeForce RTX 3060 graphics processing unit will provide next-gen gaming performance, thanks to enhanced 2nd generation Ray Tracing Cores and 3rd generation Tensor Cores. You'll be able to play all the latest titles without worrying about the settings, whilst providing enough grunt for you to enjoy smooth, quality VR experiences (VR headset sold separately). The GeForce RTX 3060 is DirectX 12 Ultimate compatible.
DirectX 12 Ultimate
DirectX 12 Ultimate is the latest version of the API, and is able to take your games to a whole new level of realism, thanks to supporting ray tracing, mesh shaders, variable-rate shading, and sampler feedback.
Connecting your other devices
The USB ports allow for fast data transfer, whilst the HDMI port enables the option for an additional display (monitor sold separately) or large screen presentations. The SD card slot offers a convenient way to upload your photos and videos and Bluetooth can help to send data wirelessly between devices.
Screen beam
Miracast technology enables you to project your device's screen onto your Miracast enabled television.
To enable Miracast functionality, press the Windows button + P (at the same time) on your keyboard and then click on 'Connect to a wireless display'.
This is a great way to view pictures or websites on a larger screen, however please note: your videos might stutter or suffer with lag.
