A maximally-cushioned road shoe designed to go the distance, the Bondi X is spring-loaded with a propulsive carbon fiber plate. The original Bondi cushioning and lines are here, providing the soft, balanced ride for which the franchise is known. The Bondi X fine-tunes the geometry with an extended rocker for greater acceleration, while the carbon fiber plate is designed to provide an efficient transition and smooth toe-off.
Mesh Upper
Engineered for comfort and breathability, the mesh construction of the upper delivers cooling comfort. The mesh wraps each foot in breathable comfort, allowing air to fully permeate the entire upper. Furthermore, this construction provides a constant supply of fresh, cool air while simultaneously forcing out hot, muggy air that resides within the shoes during intense activity. The lace-up construction allows you to get a personalised fit as well as prevents any in shoe slipping from occurring. When the laces are tightened the upper wraps around the top of the foot cradling it for additional comfort as well as providing a premium fit. For added comfort, the collar of the shoe has been constructed with memory foam which has been included due to its comfort abilities, cradling the ankle for supportive comfort as you run.
EVA MidsoleEarly-stage Meta-Rocker geometry is applied in the midsole to increase running efficiency. Meta-Rocker midsole geometry is specifically designed with a low heel-toe differential and a sculpted outsole to create a unique fulcrum effect, like a rocking chair to encourage a guided gait cycle. This design supports a runner's natural form while promoting an efficient, smooth roll from initial impact to toe-off. In the Bondi X, the transition zone is placed behind the metatarsal heads; this helps create a smoother ride and a faster transition to the forefoot. A full-length platform of EVA resides underfoot for lightweight, responsive cushioning. Generous, soft, and durable, it spares your joints as you strike down onto hard, unforgiving surfaces. A moderate heel bevel helps to promote a smooth heel-to-toe transition; it enhances ground contact and unites with flat-waisted geometry to stabilise and support every stride. A carbon fibre plate has been added to the Bondi X to deliver a smoother transition throughout the gait cycle. The carbon plate minimises energy loss, increases propulsion, and delivers an abundance of structural support making running feel effortless and giving you the confidence to reach new PB's. The carbon plate helps to maintain the meta-rocker which lies underfoot and as a result, the two technologies work in tandem to amplify the rocker's benefits.
Early Stage Meta Rocker OutsoleA flexible and durable outsole complete the Bondi X. Rubberised foam is used to enhance responsiveness, increase traction and ensure high rebound cushioning. The foam outsole ensures lightweight responsiveness so you can go further for longer with a shoe you can truly rely on. The durable rubber outsole will keep you in firm control across a wide range of different terrain over a long period of time. Forming a solid bond with the ground, the outsole will anchor you into place, keeping you in a strong and controlled position. The Bondi X's sole also helps to eliminate excess rubber on the outsole which in turn reduces overall weight.
