Rosalind Wheeler The Berber rugs are durable, timeless, easy to clean and made of 100% quality virgin wool. They are hand knotted in Morocco and their wool white colour looks great in many furnishing styles. Berber rugs have a variety of knot types and settings. The knot type describes how many threads are in a knot. A simple knot type has two threads and a double knot type has four threads. The knot setting indicates how many knots there are per square metre. 15/15 indicates that there are approximately 22,500 knots per square metre, 18/18 indicates that there are approximately 32,400 knots per square metre, 20/20 indicated that there are approximately 40,000 knots per square metre and 30/30 indicates that there are approximately 90,000 knots per square metre.
