The Solar Orthopocket 1500 provides two totally independent mattresses, thereby totally eliminating the likelihood of any roll together. Fitted with heavy duty zips, you can join them to create a 6ft mattress, or use them on their own as 2 extra-long orthopaedic mattresses. At 27cm deep its a substantial mattress with a quality pocket spring interior, substantial fillings and a hard wearing hand tufted damask cover. Hand tufting is achieved by passing nylon tapes through the mattress at regular intervals and securing them on each side with a cotton tuft.. This pre-tensions the fillings and the spring system to provide the mattress with a firmer sleeping surface and ensures the fillings stay in place. Tightly nestled together and housed in individual cloth sleeves, small diameter pocket spring coils make up the interior of the mattress. This flexibility allows each spring to move freely of any neighbouring springs and provide piston-like support to the neck, hips and lower back areas.
