Beautiful 19th Century Antique Pine Table Top Mirror circa 1850 This is not to be confused with much later reproductions which have a very different weight, feel & patina. Here the wood has mellowed over the century into a lovely straw-coloured shade & the (original) glass has one or two age-related black spots which is just as it should be. The mirror pivots & here too the quality shows; it stays in place when angled & is secured by the sturdy wooden screws at either side. Underneath is equally delightful with rustic blocks of pine wood locking everything together. The item is very well made & with continued care this should last for another hundred years & beyond. It can be cleaned every now & then using a good proprietary polish.
