Description
Flower and fern beakers, part of the DAILYWARE Botanical Collection. Inspired by the botanical watercolour illustrations seen in the Natural History Museum archives. Helen's Dailyware pots are slip-cast from moulds of her wheel thrown forms. They are then bisque-fired, glazed and glaze-fired before being decorated with special lithographically printed ceramic decals of her hand-painted illustrations. A third and final firing melts the artwork into the glaze, so that it is tough enough for dishwashers, microwaves and everyday use. Helen: "Living in a big urban city, I like to try and bring as much nature into my home as possible. These pieces are a simple way to bring colour and greenery into any home, anywhere." The high quality of the finished pieces ensures they are ready to withstand daily use, microwaves and dishwashers. Handmade in Staffordshire in fine English Bone China.
