The shape and construction of the Head e-Rally has a distinct place in the always impressive Supershape line-up. As the Titan got wider the Rally slipped into the role of the piste ski that remains unflappable when the conditions get rough. A bigger waist and slightly longer radius than piste focussed skis, plus the dampening of the innovative EMC, mean it is a carving machine on piste and totally stable if the snow isn't perfect. Overview Shape The e-Rally is a bit wider in the waist and has a slightly longer radius than earlier models, a change that came in 2 seasons ago. This has noticeably improved stability without affecting how well it skis on trails and firm snow. The contact points are set right in the tip and tail so the effective edge is long, helping with the grip and the feel of immediate response when turning. Rocker ERA 3.0 S on the Supershapes uses a speed rocker which, put simply, means the ski has tip rocker and some smart tip design. There is plenty of camber along the skis length for rebound and energy. A targeted rocker at the tip with low rise, progressive radius and vibration absorbing fibres results in superior steering and less angulation is required for immediate response and a smoother ride. Key Features Protector Thanks to its Full Heel Release (FHR), vertical and lateral, the Head s Protector binding can reduce the risk of injuries for both the knee and the lower leg. The reduced release values in forward and especially in backward twisting falls assure less stress for your knees and safer skiing. Conventional bindings offer only vertical release at the heel. Protector bindings offer Full Heel Release (FHR) - releasing 180 degrees (laterally and vertically). 7mm of bi-lateral movement absorbs all impacts on the binding and avoids pre-releases.
