Philip was born in Perth in 1980. He now lives in Scone with his wife and children.
He has an MA (Hons) Fine Art (With Distinction in The History of Art) from Edinburgh University and College of Art. He also studied the techniques of the old masters at the Florence Academy of Art.
Philip has exhibited in New York, London, and all over Scotland, and over the years has won various awards. He also recently appeared on Sky Arts Landscape Artist of the Year, where he reached the semi-finals.
His work is inspired by his experiences hiking, motorcycling, climbing, swimming, camping, running and biking all across Scotland - "God's own country"!
