Lightly quilted, reversible, printed cotton waistcoat decorated with "boteh", a Persian motif thought to represent a curled palm leaf or bud. Zain­ul­Abidin, who ruled Kashmir from 1459 ­ 1470, encouraged Persian weavers to move to his kingdom bringing with them traditional bote patterns. With reverse in plain burgundy, button front, side splits and 2 pockets.
