There's a reason that karting is considered the training ground for the Formula 1 drivers of tomorrow - the nippy little vehicles are the perfect way to get acquainted with the driving position and competitive spirit that you need to take on the big boys on the professional circuit.Your day will start with a safety briefing, a chance to get kitted out in protective clothing and some instructions on how to drive your kart, before a few practice laps to warm up and get to grips with the controls.Then begins the no holds barred competition, typically in the form of a series of dramatic heats culminating in a thrilling final where the fastest racer will emerge victorious and be awarded with a prize trophy.What You Need To Know: The total experience will last approximately 1½ to 4 hours depending on the location. There will be up to a maximum of 100 people at the centre at any one time. To participate in this activity you must be at least 18 years old.This is a physical activity, you must be able to operate the steering, brake and accelerator fully and safely.
