Advanced Protection The Aether Helmet (MIPS) is designed with a host of features to provide you with the ultimate combination of protection, fit and ventilation. First, let's look at protection. The Aether is engineered with a dual-density EPS foam liner that makes it capable of absorbing a wide range of impact energies. Meanwhile, the 6-piece outer is reinforced with a shatter-resistant AURA reinforcing arch giving a boost to structural integrity in the event of an impact. Protection is then bolstered by Giro's proprietary MIPS Spherical technology - this design sees the Multi-Directional Impact Protection System deployed between the layers of EPS foam rather than immediately next to the head which enables Giro to maintain incredible cooling airflow and comfort while offering impeccable head protection. The very large and airy vents are made possible thanks to the support of the AURA reinforcing arch, maintaining structural integrity while giving scope to increase vent size.
