First launched in the 1930s, the elegant Bernadotte collection from Georg Jensen has come to symbolise Scandinavian design and craftsmanship. The first pieces were designed by Swedish Prince Sigvard Bernadotte who was influenced by functionalism, a design movement that held function and practicality as its guiding principle. Sigvard Bernadotte went on to become one of Georg Jensen's most successful collaborators, and the riffles and timeless aesthetics of the Bernadotte collection have made it one of the most popular in the long Georg Jensen history.
