The frame provides the compliance and the ride quality that only steel can, thanks to the Reynolds 725 tubeset and along with the carbon fork ensures all-day comfort for long rides. The inclusion of rack and mudguard mounts expand its scope of operation into commuting and winter riding too, making it a very versatile option. The frame also includes very generous tyre clearance and the bike is fitted with Donnelly Strada 30c tyres for excellent rough road grip and cushioning. Shimano’s 11-speed 105 groupset has long been the default option for riders who want the reliability and performance of the top-end offerings at a more wallet-friendly price and now that this includes hydraulic disc brakes for all-conditions power, it makes a very compelling argument for itself.
