Description
The Trumpet Pitcher Plant, as its more commonly known, is a very unique indoor plant and a member of the Sarracenia genus. The Sarracenia Smoorii is very appealing on the eye, with the colours of bright green and deep red really capturing the imagination of plant lovers, seeing them utilise the plant as an ornamental and decorative piece on a window sill. Window sills are one of the most obvious positions to place this plant due to the high light levels it appreciates. You will also find that the plant will use its Fly Trap traits to remove unwanted insects from the air when the insects latch themselves onto the inside of the plants tubular foliage. It is smart to water this plant with rainwater as opposed to normal tap water. Low-limescale water is also an option, but staying away from general tap water is key as it will have a lasting effect on Smoorii.
