A Gore-Tex Duratherm® membrane is used to give waterproof protection, excellent breathability and lock in warmth. At the ankle, a Gore-Tex Rattler® collar provides a reliable weather seal while still allowing the optimal flexibility for easy pedalling. Meanwhile, thermo-reflective aluminium is placed between the outer and inner sole, ensuring no heat loss through the bottom of the boots. These are cycling shoes that refuse to let cold creep inside. Lastly, durable anti-abrasion zones can also be found to the sides and toe to fend off the rock and root strikes you'll experience when mountain biking. Next comes the BOA IP1 dial closure system. The micro-adjust dial and stainless steel cables allow a quick and precise adjustment across the whole of the foot, ensuring no pressure points whatsoever - just the perfect fit every time. Meanwhile, the anatomical insole, with tarsal support, ensures the foot is supported in just the right position for a smooth pedal stroke across even the roughest of mountain bike trails. MTB 3Density Sole 7.0 Made from a composite of nylon and fibreglass, the MTB 2Density Sole 7.0 is both light and durable. It offers excellent pedalling efficiency, rated 7 out of 12 for stiffness, but with enough give for comfort over rough terrain and when walking. When you're off the bike the aggressive tread pattern gives tenacious grip across a variety of terrain. Added to this are THSR-ICEGRIP lugs, specifically designed to boost grip and traction when conditions turn icy. Cleat Guidance These shoes are compatible with MTB pedal systems, which use the 2-bolt cleat standard (SPD standard), e.g.: Shimano SPD, Time ATAC, CrankBrothers, CrankBrothers Race, Look MTB, Xtreme MTB, Wellgo MTB, Ritchey MTB. Also suitable for indoor trainers in gyms etc.
